Easily create your own diffuser base. May we suggest:
 
70% Carrier Oil: Use a very low viscosity (it is very thin) oil that has a neutral scent, allowing it to easily travel up the reeds. Fractionated coconut oil is a good starting point. which is completely clear and doesn't spoil.
 
20% Fragrance: Your signature fragrance oils or high-quality essential oils.
 
10% Alcohol: High-proof vodka or rubbing alcohol. This is the secret ingredient—it thins the carrier oil further and binds the fragrance, pulling it quickly up the reeds to disperse into the room.
 
Mix:
Pour the carrier oil and alcohol into a small measuring cup and stir well.
 
Scent:
Add your fragrance oil and stir until the liquid looks completely blended.
 
Pour: Funnel the mixture into your narrow-neck glass diffuser bottle.
Activate: Insert 5–8 rattan reeds. Let them sit for 1 hour, then flip them upside down to kickstart the scent throw! Each formula you create can last anywhere from 1-3 months!
 
Pro Tips
 
Avoid Thick Oils: Don't use olive, canola, or jojoba oil. These are too heavy and will plug up the pores in the reeds, ruining the scent distribution.
 
Maintenance: Flip the reeds once a week to refresh the fragrance boost.
 
Ventilation: Location matters. Scent will carry further within a room that has adequate air flow.
