Safety Notes: For external use only; dilute before use. May cause skin irritations, a skin test is recommended prior to use, avoid contact with eyes. Avoid During Pregnancy. Its constituent, cedrol, may cause the oil to crystallize. The melting point of cedrol is 86º Celsius, so gently heat the oil till it liquefies. It may re-crystallize again in cooler temperatures.
Usage: Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, diuretic, insecticidal, antifungal. Can also be used in aromatherapy, perfumery/cologne, lotions, scrubs and shampoos

Native to Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, Texas Cedarwood- also known as Mexican Cedar- is the discarded trees and tree stumps used for the distillation of the wood’s oil. The tree itself is actually a Juniper, a shrub-like evergreen. The tree tends to be twisted and crooked with wood that easily cracks, making it unfitting for building materials.
