Heirloom Eggplant Mica powder is safe for cosmetics. It is often used in Hot Process and Melt & Pour soap, lip balm, nail polish and scrubs. It's approved for general cosmetics, lip, eye and nail products. This aubergine dark purple is lovely in MP soap, but morphs to a grey in CP soap.

When inhaled this product can expose you to chemicals including Titanium Dioxide, which is [are] known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or reproductive harm. Once the powder is incorporated into a liquid or solid base it can no longer be inhaled and therefore falls off the warning list.
