How to Use
 
Option 1 (Melt & Pour): Best if using the entire amount in a batch (Not recommended for 5lb option).  Remove from container.  Submerge the sealed bag into a warm double boiler until fully liquid, dry outside of bag and then snip a corner to pour.  Any remaining liquid can be poured into the included container, covered with the lid and put directly into the fridge to solidify quickly in order to prevent graininess.
 
Option 2 (Cut & Use Directly): Simply cut the bag open, remove your desired amount to use as-is, and transfer the remaining portion back into to the included storage container.  
 
Usage & Safety Guidelines
 
Do not boil: Melt the bag gently in a warm double boiler or water bath without letting the water reach a rolling boil.
Do not microwave in bag: Never place the vacuum seal bag directly into the microwave.
Remove promptly: Take the bag out of the water bath as soon as the butter has fully melted.  High temperatures and placing the bag directly onto burners will cause the bag to melt.
Dry before cutting: Thoroughly dry the outside of the bag before snipping a corner to pour.
 
Handle & Pour with caution: Use extreme care when handling and pouring liquid hot butters, as they can cause serious burns.  Do not pour while children or pets are present.
 
Suggested Usage
 
Luscious Creams and Lotions
For added nourishment, blend 2-20% of Shea Butter – Ultra Refined into your creams and lotions. If necessary, gently warm your product until it reaches a texture that blends smoothly. The melting point of Shea Butter generally falls between 32°C to 35°C (or 90°F to 95°F). Use a hand blender to mix your cream or lotion, gradually drizzling in the melted butter for seamless incorporation.
 
Rich and Moisturizing Soap
When formulating soap, a good rule of thumb is to add 1 tablespoon of Shea Butter for every pound of soap base, or utilize it at a concentration of 5-20%. Due to the variability in raw materials, conducting small-scale tests before proceeding with commercial production is advisable.
 
High-Quality Hair Conditioners
Incorporate Shea Butter – Ultra Refined at concentrations of 1-10% in hair conditioners to take advantage of its moisturizing vitamins and nutrients.
 
Note:   Shea Butter in some instances may cause graininess in a product (a natural occurrence) though this more refined butter is less prone to these issues. If needed, restore a smooth texture and consistency by tempering the Shea Butter before use: simply heat it until liquefied, mix thoroughly, cool in fridge or cold temperatures until solid.  Store in cool temperatures.
